WELCOME TO
ST. JOSEPH'S
CATHOLIC CHURCH

St. Joseph's Catholic Church is a stewardship parish dedicated to serving the community with love and compassion. Our church provides a welcoming environment for worship, spiritual growth, and community involvement. We invite you to join us and become a part of our faith-filled family.

OUR MISSION

St. Joseph's Catholic Church is "To Evangelize God's People,
Beginning with the Gift of the Holy Eucharist."

History of St. Joseph's Catholic Church

pappys.jpg

On October 11, 1967, St. Joseph’s Church was carved out of Our Lady of Fatima with 200 families being assigned to help form the new St. Joseph’s Church.  Fr. Anthony McManus was assigned the task of building the community and structure for the first Masses.  Beginning what would become decades of fun and faithful traditions, the first Mass was held in a pizza parlor named “Pappy’s Pizza”.

Our Faith Journey

ESTABLISHMENT

ST. JOSEPH'S FOUNDATION

history4.jpg

On December 24, 1969, what had formerly been a dusty field became the first structure of St. Joseph’s Church, a new multi-purpose building, which was built on the present site. Each of these pastors has embraced the spirit of St. Joseph the carpenter, by building the spirituality, ministries and physical infrastructure that you see today.  Since that first Mass in the pizza parlor, our parish has been led by pastor’s Fr. Cornelius De Groot, Fr. Joseph O’Hare (who served for 25 years; Fr. O’Hare Hall is named after him), Fr. Joseph Illo and our current pastor, Fr. Mark Wagner.  Fr. Illo and Fr. Wagner and now Fr. Sam have embraced the New Evangelization, focusing on St. John Paul II’s exhortation to make a Catholic parish a “School of Prayer”.

Today

HISTORICAL MILESTONE

AMP_1748.jpg

Today, those first 200 families has grown to 6,600 families, with 18,000 parishioners, many weekend Masses, which includes one in Spanish, one Traditional Latin Form of the Mass and (once each month, during regular times): Indian Mass and Filipino Mass, 5,900 Mass attendees each week, including daily Mass and weekend Masses, with the sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) offered 6 days each week and finally, the greatest treasure of our parish is our Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, offered 24 hours a day.  Our large and comfortable Chapel is accessible when you sign up for the key pad code in the parish office.  We are a Eucharistic Parish, which is appropriate for our mission statement: “To Evangelize God’s People, beginning with the Gift of the Holy Eucharist”.
We celebrated 50 years of stewardship in 2017, with our parish’s 50th anniversary and look forward to celebrating many more.
